A.L.Zeager 1958 3) Microtus California Strawberry Canyon, 550ft., Berkeley, Alameda County. Oct. 3 Animals taken by Martin L. Muzik at MUZ Near Botanical Gardens had following data: 3 ♂♂ (no wt.) testes 3 x 4 mm., epid.- ♂ ("") " (1 x 2 mm. said -) (auto & lab animal) ♀ ("") no emb's or scars, vaginocles also a ♀ taken Sept. 25, 1958 on Hill 300-400 yards above botan. garden, had large uterine horns but no emb's or scars. Nov. 16 Took 10 ♂♀ and a kitten in 33 live traps near Botan. Gar's, hillsloe is being cleared & Microtus seem to have deserted some of former habitat near the clearing word. ♂ 47.2 gm. testes 4 x 7 mm., epid.- ♀ gravid vaginal cles (♂ had an exceptionally long tail, meas's - 193-64-2846)
