A.C. Ziegler 1958 Diadonys deserti Jan 30 1 mi E, 2 mi N Treva (see Bennett Co), INYO Co, Cal., F. 1700+ hr. 2 taken by Dr. W.B. Quay last nite in large Sherman & large Havahart traps, or small sand dunes in low area at new search hole. I got 1 Dipodomys in same general area but not on top of sand dune. Deserti holes are 3+ in. in dia. + did not seem to be closed. Rats banged up nose jumping in wire mesh Havahart traps. Dr Quay's sunny sets close to mouth of burrow but got one of his 2 on top of small dune with no holes noticeable nearby.
