A.C. Biebler 1958 Sorex ornatus Nov. 15 1.0 mi. N, 2.0 mi. E Martinez (salt marsh), Corner Cosmolo, Lake of California Sub-Species. 3 taken by Geo. Fisher or MVZ in extensive Sanicoria Marsh. I was ♀ with an "about" uterine repeat but no mammary tissue; I was 76. ♂ with 2x1mm testes; other was older ♂ with 1x3mm testes and a testis gland just about the same size. It also has a very slight "metallic" odor -- probably from the glands. None of animals was noticeably fat. All had been taken in MVZ. See: Nos. Geo. also took 20♂ Sorex (so?) x 2 Microtus.
