A.C. ETCHECER 1958 Touvenot Sept. 11, 12 Seno Thing Valley, 4625 ft. San Diego Co. California. Drove to Touvenot in AM arriving about 6:00pm. Set out for mus spee's, in shady wash running thru cow pasture & many fences. Also 2 sets of orange traps & got 4 Peromyscus, 1 Dipodomys, 2 Odocoileus & 1 Canis. Also saw a Squirrel mover run. Tore open rotten log & got a Hylda. Also caught 2 small Vrt by hand. Saw many Ground Squirrels (C. Bechenyi?). Set 20 mus spee's on dry hillside beside camp & got only account of Peromyscus maniculatus & 1 Dipodomys tail tip. Shot about PM of 11th but hit none. Saw 3 Roadwills on road & shot one. Others coming both in AM & PM. Dick Graham got 2 Perony (Truce??) in dry wash beside camp. Thus far no Peromyscus taken here. Totally pretty catch!
