E Scissors Crossing, Green Quake Valley Sandy Camp Scot. 10 Drove to Green Quake Valley & camped up a dirt road ¾ mi. or so from Hiway Spot is in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Scissors Crossing is just at Blue Grass Road & Hiway 78 & had historical marker telling of Vallecitos stage station etc. Party set out roughly 100 yards at Crossing & 150' at camp. All on sandy ground with borage, cholla, etc. Many birds & insects. BUT also saw 8 or 9 GAINES rears at; 2½ mi. S 2¼ mi.
