A.C. [illegible] 1958 Jouvenon Strawberry Canyon, just Nt. Berkeley, Alameda Co. Aug 30 Brachys & Artemesia cover. Has taken (cour.) Artemisius here before but has not got only I retired a retired tail and a Artemisius never also a whsn. Ands were out in force. Full moon up at Dusk last Am. Also made 2 two-was Gather sets within 10 ft. of Bot.an.lm. Fence but no catch. Set 2 more near in fairly fresh runs in moist ground next to fence where Snowberry(?) crabl passes into the gardens. No cover in either or there. Put up only the P. trvst. 4mi. N, 1/2 mi. W Truckhaven, 21 Imperial Co, Cant. Sept 8-9 Left Berkeley at 11:30 AM Sunday Sept 7, and drove to above locality for Intose. Nationa touch with Dr. Hockee & Dick Berman of MVE. Arrives about 2:00 pm & looked over area along highway west of Saxon Sea. Truckhaven is only a large Cafe & Gas Station with living quarters in rear. Several Land Development companies are leveling out land to eventually try to build and sell houses on along the sea. Very hot - 108 in shade. Set about 40 MVE species
