Mounds. I or sets was in a definite
Catcher run but other may have
been mole workings since funnel
was only a little over an inch in
O.D. Set out about 45 mus specs
baited with walnuts along creek
back of house. Traps set about
15 to 20 ft apart in the thick
blackberry, notice vine covering.
also saw some fresh mole workings
in sandy soil along creek. Mounds
in fields (where I did not set)
seemed old & dry. WM Hamilton
has lost 10 ducks (kept in screen
cage out back) to wild house cats
(probably) of which at least 4 diff.
one's have been seen (I m. O'Dwyer
nursing). Bill saw coon tracks along
stream & an old mace said deer
passed the same back of our house.
We did see two very small bucks
in velvet along road to Phonsien
Nursery about 2 min. (?) of house a
couple of days ago.
