A.C. ZEBBER 1958 Journal Brooks Island, 10+ ft. Contra Costa Co., Calif. Jan 5 (cont.) May have been here before since pile of cow bones seen. Paul "established" a colony of micratus on the small islands just a couple of hundred yards S.E. of Brooks last year some time. Saw on main island he saw only Mus & Rattus. Brooks is roughly 1/4 mi. wide, 1/2 mi. long & highest pt. is 140+ ft. GIVEN #5 Jan 8 San Rafael (5 Warren Court?) Marin Co., Calif. Dr Rudolph Stohler of U.C. Rec'd 3 alcoholic Mus from Mr. Thomas W. Pearson about Jan 3, 1958. Dr. Stohler sent them to Dr Benson at MVZ who wrote letter to Pearson Jan 3, 1958, [illegible] reply Jan 6, 1958. 2 [crossed out] + 1 Brown Mus poorly preserved in "rubbing" alcohol compound. Still shipping. Given #'s A.C.2, 987-989 & rec'd's in MVZ to show colat of fur. Rec'd 9444; MVZ#'s 122283-122285. Note with speed probably in Pearson's writing said only " 12-28-57 Taken in trade by Mr Irving Warren - 5 Warren Court. San Rafael "
