Aug.28-25 Not seen but fresh yecks deam comp 2 nights, Mr. hambroetin [100-Townway] said they were seen thru this country. Supan Ranch, 3400 ft., 8 mi. E Montoomery Ce. P.O., Shasta Co, Calif Aug.31-Sep2 Many pecks seen on roads in fields here. No animals actually seen tho. Butt Creek, 8 mi. S Chester, Plumas Co, California Sep.3-5 Tracks but no animals seen in old beater meadow. Apparently feeding party on scree path this may have been work of range cattle which were also seen in area. Hedlowas Experimental Station, Mendocino Co, Calif. Sep.6 Many F & towns but no bucks seen between 9:30AM-2:30 PM on station, limits hunting allowed here. W. end Gul Vannet, 10 to 75 ft., Marin Co, Calif. Dec.21 H, 2 and I seen in late afternoon on ridges to N side of valley. Ampp land is posted against hunting but club shoots here. Dec.28-29 Only 2 seen this week end - tracks in seven places - even down close to ocean beach.
