Sept. 4 I TRAPED a SCHVINE on large log near base of conifer shape. Seven or holes 3-4 in. in dia. seen along bottom of slope at edge of meadow with dirt & rocks piled outside of them & may have been burrows of this species. None besides the trapped one seen here but several seen along roads coming into the valley this year.

Sept. 6 Saw 4 or 5 on other slopes around rocks or logs during morning rise-
