A.C.Zimmer 1957 Journal Weno End Valley, 10+ to 75+ ft. Marin Co. Calif. Dec. 28 Ran & picked up ant bears (except left 25 at 75+ft.) between 8 and 10 AM. Got 5 more scary vagabonds, no mus, 6 or 8 retinnes, 8 or 10 microtus ormore and 1 neorichus, got home. Below dam - there took also Microtus & Peromyscus but no Retinnes & no Scary. Also there got 2(?) Tachira last night + 1 this morning. Also a "Boxer" slug. Had no animals in 40+ yards set in bunch bear clumps at about 50+ ft. In cow pasture outd I would have expected many, do see below Microtus runs there. Cat(s) pulled some nearby bears & ate contents, saw two cats these this AM. So guess it was them. Got Garner nearby at 50+ ft. At 12:45 PM re-ran the 25 yards at 75+ ft. Got (small?) Scary vagabond a couple of Peromyscus & a young Microtus. Left for home at 1:15 PM. Stay over- cast but aside from Drizzle most of last night this AM. Was dry and not too cold, caught a small Ensatina crawling above ground along railing just N of locked gate in very wet Sawbears, bunch bears & fern clump, at about 8:30 AM today.
