A.C. Zigour 1956 Artemiscus maniculatus SEPT.29 (cont.) Savchen Creek, 6400 ft., 3 mi. NW Hobart Mtns, Nevada Co. 2 around cabin during night. caught. 1 at midnight forage during night. 3 in traps along creek meadow (1 of these 60 ft. from stream in Artemisia flat). These mice in many of tree caches trap. About 25 caught at heart. SEPT.30 1 in 2nd B+B live trap set on Rocky foothore pine slope near buildings of Savchen station. 2, Noomus Spee's set on Rocky Artemisia + foothore pine slope (as Sept. 29). 1 of these had a foot missing and was trapped near spot where I found a foot in year Sept. 29 p.m. so maybe same animal. NOV3+4. 2 mi. W Bacon station, 500ft. San Mateo Co. 1 taken at 6:00 pm (Nov.3) a I more (looking a good deer kills trail) at 6:30 am (Nov. 4.) in Cow pasture with Juncus chumps. These two taken near on Road shoulder in field. This 10' high bank had briars, Juncus, fems are growing on it. Micotus canifoenicus + Reithrodonmys coronatus also taken near. 1.5mi.S. 1mi.W Millbrae, 400ft. San Mateo Co. Calif. 1 at 7:30 am (Nov.4) on shady moist hillside - P. canifoenicus x P.Deori also taken in this same trap line. Also 2 Micotus canifoenicus
