Most of Bay Shore Waders was only 100 ftme so from well-traveled roads leading out onto island. Sanioca, Marsh mostly on dry ground but some growing in quite muddy ground. Weather clear, warm with moderate West wind, a few micrurus runways seen under board in California in small marsh, birds seen: Western Grebe - 5 Brown Pelican - 1 D.C. Cormorant - 25 Gr. Blue Heron - 2 Am. Coot - 3 Lesser Scaupduck - 10+ Coot - 3 Semiannato Plover - 1 (Seen by Jim Anderson) T.B. Wildeer - 3 (nest) — Curlew - 10 Willet - 15 Red-backed S'age - 5+ Dowitcher - 30+ (Western?) S'Pigeon - 50+ Marbled Godwit - 3 (Avocat - 1 near Emeraldville) Western Gull - 2 Forster's Tern - 12 (about ½ mm.) Caspian Tern - 10 Mourning Dove - 1 (by Jim Anderson) W. McAdowdahl - 2 (1 nest.
