Wolfson 1938 4 mi. SW Prairieville, 3300 ft., Crooks County, Ore. June 18, (cont.) we had caught: 30 Peromyscus maniculatus. 11 of which were immature (benig), mostly gray and lacking the yellow of the adults; 1 Peromyscus [illegible] which did not look like maniculatus; 2 Dipodomys ordii which were caught under Juniper trees. In the evening set a trap line to SE of camp - 75 traps set about 40 ft. apart. Habitat similar to that described for the region in general. This time an effort was made to set some traps in the open sandy regions with the hope of catching Microdipodogs. The weather during the day was cloudy and it rained irregularly throughout the day. There was no rain at night. June 19, Examined trap line and had caught: 12 Peromyscus maniculatus, 8♂, 4♀; 1 Dipodomys ordii under a Juniper where there were holes of this species. In the afternoon, at 3:30 p.m. left camp and walked about 1 mi. NE to a sink. There was no ground cover here except some dead, dried low herbaceous plant
