pine. The slender-billed Nuttall's
was collected here. Also recognized
in this habitat were: Red-breasted
Nuttall's, Junco oreganus montanus
Pine Siskins, and Mountain
Chickadees. Started Westward
track to camp and heard a Red-
tailed Hawk screaming overhead.
Also recognized: Wright Flycatcher,
White-headed Woodpecker, Red-
breasted Flycatcher, Western Tanager
Chipping Sparrow, House Wren -
all on the way tracks near the
stream and in the surrounding
forest of yellow pines.

Started out East of camp at about
7:00 a.m. with A.H.M. and W.R.
to examine a Lincoln Sparrow
nest in the grass beside the
stream North of camp. The nest
and the five eggs were collected.
Continuing along the south side
of the stream I recognized
several Wood Pewees in the
clumps of Alder, involving Aspen
