Leaves in rems and holes are of Shooting star (Siliacae) and one other low herbaceous plant which is not in flower. June 29. Location as above. 1 mouse caught in mousetrap had bait in its mouth. The first evidence of these mice taking the bait - caught during the night as one other mouse was. Two others caught during the day. Habitat same, but one distance was in low meadows near stream - wet ground.
