Wolfson 1938 Cliff Swallows June 20 4 mi SW Primerille, 3300 ft., Crook Co. Oregon. Colony of nesting birds on cliffs facing Crooked River near Primerille. Nests of mud and placed on under surface or rock outcroppings. Nests were larger thanuide. Climbed to one and reached in middle fingers barely touched young. Adults flew in close and were much concerned. About 70 birds in colony and 1 Violet-green Swallow was seen amongst them. Whether it was nesting or not I do not know.
