Red-Tailed Hawks
June 20 4miv.SW Primerille, 3300ft., Crooks Co. One
Nest found amongst cliffs facing
Crooked River near Primerille. Flat
structure resting on outcropping
of rocks. Made of large twigs and
feathers present in abundance.
Young hawks flushed from
nest. Was less than 30 yds from
colony of nesting Cliff Swallows.
Birds seen chasing hawks on one
occasion, but when it perched
they seemed to forget about it.
