1 Audubon Warbler was collected in
this habitat. About 1 mile along
the trail, after climbing steadily
and gradually upward, there is
a fairly level stretch where the
river flows slowly and there are
patches of meadow habitat. Several
rock slides meet the trail and
caries were heard commonly. 4
were shot and 1 retrieved. 1 Audu-
dron Warbler was collected in a
stand of lodgepole pines bordering
a small meadow on the stream.
Amongst the rocks which were
common on this level area two
golden-mantled Ground Squirrels
were collected. Returned to camp
about noon and remained there
until evening when I spanned
gopher sets again and found
nothing. Traps were taken in.
July 16.
Left camp at 6:30 a.m. and re-
turned to location where had
taken Black-capped Chickadee.
Hunted for some time, but found
none. A Mt. Chickadee was taken
