Wolfson 1938 July 15, (cont.) 16 mi S, 3 mi E Lostine, 5500 ft, Walla Wla Co, Or. 1 Audubon Warbler was collected in this habitat. About 1 mile along the trail, after climbing steadily and gradually upward, there is a fairly level stretch where the river flows slowly and there are patches of meadow habitat. Several rock slides meet the trail and caries were heard commonly. 4 were shot and 1 retrieved. 1 Audu- dron Warbler was collected in a stand of lodgepole pines bordering a small meadow on the stream. Amongst the rocks which were common on this level area two golden-mantled Ground Squirrels were collected. Returned to camp about noon and remained there until evening when I spanned gopher sets again and found nothing. Traps were taken in. July 16. Left camp at 6:30 a.m. and re- turned to location where had taken Black-capped Chickadee. Hunted for some time, but found none. A Mt. Chickadee was taken
