Wolfson 1938 by 11, (cont.) 16 mi. S., 3 mi. E Lostine, 5500 ft. Wallama Co., Ore. of Cluirances were common here. The plot was about 2 acres in size and was on the E "shore" of the Lostine River. by 12 19 mi. S, 5 mi. E Lostine, 7000 ft., Wallama Co., Ore. Left camp at 6:30 and took road to S and then took Cast Forks Trail, following Cast forks of Lostine River, to Lost Lake, about 4 miles by trail and road from camp. Several rocks slides were seen along the way. These were on the trail and Coyes, were heard commonly. Spent several hours hunting them and collected only 1 imm(?) A javenal was seen. It was no larger than three inches and I approached within 1 foot before it disappeared amongst the rocks. It uttered a high squealy note. Near Lost Lake in the fir woods near the trail I collected 1 Brown Creeper and heard another eue. 1 Clipping Sparrow was also collected. Cassin Purple Finches were common and similarly were the Pine Siskins. Several White-crowned
