Wolfson 1938 July 2, (cont.) N.Fle. Malheur R., 21 mi SE Prairie City, 5000 ft. Grant G., are lived, 2; Red-breasted Nuthatch, general; Western Robin, common; Chipping Sparrow, common; Audubon Warbler 2; Williamson Lazercleer 1; Hairy Woodpecker 2; and Olive- backed Thrush(?) 1. From this habitat I went eastward to the stream (N.Fls. Malheur River). The habitat here is: Willows and guilding Spruce Alders in clumps along the stream. On the sides of the stream a meadow habitat, but tall grass, sedge and false lelliberare are most abundant as an even ground cover. Read brush common. Collected here were: 2 Warbling Vireos and 1 Song Sparrow. Recognized were: Solmie Warbler!, Song Sparrow 1; and Yellow Warbler(?) 1; Bearers working are fresh and tracks were seen. Left camp at 6:45 a.m. and went S. Hunted through forest and sand then went eastward toward stream and riparian habitat. In this habitat were collected 2 Audubon Warblers, and 1 Warbling
