Wolfson 1938 June 28, (Cont) Sunolo Cr., 15 mi. W Bend; 6/00#; Deschutes Co, Ore. at stream edge on SE side of stream Set about 20 ft. apart amongst short grass and sedge and low willows; Caught 1 Microtus richardsonii in sod trap which was left at fresh workings this morning. Evidently caught during the day. June 29 Examined trap line and found: 1 Sorex p. caught in a wet willow thicket on the edge of a stream; 1 Sorex palustris, caught beside a log amongst a wet, dense, short growth of sedge and grass at the edge of a small stream; 2 Microtus richard- sonii, 1 caught beside a large log in the open near the stream's edge; low growth of grass present; the other caught in a moist low willow thicket at the stream's edge. Several sets of traps were left at places showing fresh signs, but where no mice had been caught. Returned at 7:00 P.M. and found 1 Microtus richardsonii in a willow thicket in a run toward the stream.
