Holmes, R. 1960 5. Erolia alpina 3 June Barrow, Alaska swiftly, one behind the other, white one upper the shield free-like note. This activity appeared to be the eviction a pair from an already established territory. Then chasing with wing was noted earlier in The day between an established pair and may be a pairing or "making" display. Another chase involving three birds was just noticed. Again two birds were driven off by the possessor of the territory. It seems possible that these birds are already paired before they try to claim areas. 4 June Barrow, Alaska One bird heard displaying on the ridge (steep) near the magnetic station 5 June Barrow, Alaska Paired birds were seen all along the bird between Barrow and the Drana. No groups were noted. These birds seem relatively common along The Drana as numerous displaying 88 were seen. 6 June Barrow, Alaska Pairs of birds were seen just South of Footprint Lake and along the Northern shore of Heroovik. None, however, were seen on the west shore of Heroovik.
