Holmes, R. 1959 Erolia alpina 21. 27 August Barrow, Alaska. One flock of 15 seen east of the Beool Ridge. The was composed of immature and adult birds which were feeding among the shallow pools. Several flocks of 10-15 were noted just north of the duck camp area the ponds and along the shore of the lagoon. Probably 150 birds were noted. None were seen near Nunatak. 28 August Barrow, Alaska Only scattered individuals were seen and heard during the entire afternoon when we spent along the Council Road areas in Footprint Lake. No flocks were noted in the lake itself. Mostly immature were seen. 29 August Barrow, Alaska One seen near Joth's Slough. 31 August Barrow, Alaska A flock of 8 was present on a small pond just SE of NTA's Area.
