RTH 1961 3. C. Ogeria 6 June Barrow, Alaska The K landed nearby & first way at vertical for 2-3 sec. Then giving Nr ground start till clear above. He watched semis step-assumed scraping pattern, settled into a cup (about 50' from Brother or a different low patch), turned & rotated, wagging posterior parts (no scrapping seen - all rotating) - all the while wagging Nr relatively soft tree, etc.... Nr & flew 6' + later, landed, walked up to him. He looked out of cup - She stepped in + he went off & went 1/2 feeding - N87/300 monolperture. - Appears as if aerial display may bring birds together for an act - Since Nr 9 appeared soon after Nr 8 did + not nearly when he landed for display. Nr oft call prey and is attracting her. All / One session was very short, lasting only 2-3 sec. - No & secondly rapidly. Perhaps the cup was already formed (as at least I was) + The earlier phase of their movement is : Not seen now. Now seen along Elson Bluff in afternoon. 7 June Pair on BR per 0.0-2.0 on Pitikok's plot. Nr 7 display. unwary - starting off (but not moving) altitude (6-25') with one burst (1 minute) - white white given the clear note (140 sec.) - Nr he filed
