perching at vegetation but clearly not feeling it
Then he tipped forward slightly, with tail elevated
½" or so above folded wing tips, walked 6" +
settled into a depression, with tail + folded
wing tips held high - but after 2 sec, he stepped
out - moved 2' + settled again. In this
stance, he settled in, breast against the
bottom, pushed it stalked his breast & body
and the cup, at the same time giving a nasal
versus aerial "kriiing" - nee, nee, or
phlegm note - slightly high - pitted then the aerial
note - his heel was open about 3.4 mm as
the call was given (which was continuously while
he was in the cup). The & who was nearly flew
18', landed, ran to the cup, stood next to the
&?, he looked out from the depression, sidestepped
with it in beeched, tail twenty eight - ran
past him - but the & then walked off in a
feeding manner. The &? resumed normal
posture & preened. - the cup when checked
had no cover formed - it had been
chewed and I guess the bottom contained only
dry Sable leaves.
About 30 min. later, the &? appeared again -
in the air giving an aerial display - rock
hovers + long hills - tailed (20-50' fluttering
height) - & thymian birds behind him. She landed
