Holmes, RT. 1964 C. alpina 4 June Barron, Alaska Two-may seen behind drum area near AACS. Several (25) aerial display heard - all concerted only of long hill - no churring heard. / feeding with 1/8/1975, 1 Pair seen along Elsom bluff - 1 aerial display - with churring heard. 5 June 1 pair on both bluffs, 2 pairs on Denali Ridge, 2077 (locally settled - subalpine) - 50 yd from Hmb Area. In the area the latter birds - one was flushed by the weasel, it flew 100', landing about 80' away from AACS. I raised 1 wing toward the newcomer - gave a long hill. The flew flushed 8' from B - I kept both wings vertical for 1-1/2 sec - gave an abbreviated long call. The birds fled or at least stalled at mid sound for 10-15 sec - before B took flight toward A - a flew + the chase went until over 1 syt (lost over lunch. (23'') - uplift in approach (D) gave me break - a softer, less emphatic bleep + a long reeeeeeecee when I repeated the long hill given by B - in fast flight. 3-4 scattered indiv. on Elsom bluff, no. 1 Wld. None seen on Pikel's Plots 6 June Only 1 pair on north beach ridge - all no 1 or 2 displays were heard from trees between the ridge & Iniskippuk (Tuck) lake. On the ridge (white-rump sector). No P displayed (15' max. height), landed with a brief wing up. Walked several feet
