Holmes, R 1957 Erolia alpina 4 August Barrow, Alaska company with Pctrauls & Golden Plover in the Southern half of Toolik Lake, and a group of 6 in the N. half of the lake. The latter group was a family group with 2 Ads and 4 Juv. Both parents became alarmed when two of the chicks (which were able to fly) were collected. One adult which arced up several times was collected and proved to be a male. No displays (areas or raised-wing) were noted. 5 August Barrow, Alaska Two seen in the south end The drum area. A flock of 18 were present along the sandspit towards Nuvuk. They were feeding in the small shallow ponds on the logon side of the spit. At Q were molting. The wing molt was nearing completion on all 4 collared. The fat condition was very light. 6 August Barrow, Alaska About 30 birds were present among the large numbers of Pctrauls and Semipalmated Sandpipers at Toolik Lake. These were feeding in
