13 July Barrow, Alaska
Nest in a plot still intact - One is possibly
another nest near 23.4 - One bird for
a kill when flushed + < brief
aerial flight - such kill (dry) -
preceded by two brief rel-rel -
14 July - Two bead ridge census plots were intact.
At no road adult was seen, but appeared
worn. No display or court activity.
Located one or + at least 2 birds near
John Slope w/affector - collected.
15 July One bird collected near gasoline ridge -
otherwise none were seen or heard
16 July Only 2 adults seen - travel to gasoline
ridge - across both - insect area
& return. One was to join - sour!
both me - no young were - evidence -
They were to way to collect - so they
may have been moving.
Nest - bead ridge #16 steel intact.
17 July Flock of 6 88 in polygon area south of
north / footprint lake - 2 collected. One flock
(3 (sex?)) on Duroavit census plot. Ne
Two nests in the plots were intact & very well done.
In each case, both adults were present at
the nest. A possible nest near 8.25 or
near 23.4 - but there have not yet
been located.
