Holmes, 78 1963 24 E. ogeina 3 July Bannet, Alaska 20% covered - but birds as hurr Not & produce poor shadows while Gan greater protection. - Located- Small mound in trough between 2 Large grass-covered polygons. Nest - #9 new cereal food was empty - both adults were seen & were down d. displays say you seen in the vicinity - no we've not seen, powers. 5 July Snowed last night - no diapla activit / Only bird today - brief nutty even plot. In afternoon - snow on meeting fact. Nest #6 - S. 1 So. 5 set ago was what they were by 7:00 at half off of our approval. At nest #7 - there was 1 young which probably hatched late yesterday or early today (he was dead// at 7:00 & three eggs while never not pipping yet). Nest was in attendance but did not come near the nest - instead he stood off 30 yds. 1 gun fired long drills, then flew off - only a brief distraction display was given at approach. One other seabird ever seen near Volcano area - no others seen during the travel.
