RTH 1962 S. opeiae 9 June Barrow, Alaska (for 2 hrs) Begun both wmp at vertical. Then lowered as wing. Dem Drifts, 2hrs. Later. Man went off downriver again. Our signal appeared for 1 bird by 1-od hen + the huts cleared. 10 June Nest #2 destroyed by vehicle! - all 4 eggs were crushed - no sign adults. This has occurred sometime in the last 2 days. No bird seen hear near Britta's Area. One display heard in Voth Area - very little display activity, The morning - by our bird species. One heard at south end of Mead ridge - very little activity in the evening. 11 June Several displaying a gasline ridge - but have never seen a bird - Meadridge. None seen - Mead ridge in afternoon. - War came and heard in 1st Bluff Area. 12 June One bird displaying a cement plot - removed. - N, wrote Seen. None seen or heard in the RACS area. Birks really seem to be lacking this year - no floats - no evidence. Birds move through - either as floats or passes.
