Holmes,R 1963 C. Olga 5. 3 june Bannu, Alaska Oolpik - A love group / 8 birds - 3? as far as riverbed - were found. From this group, 2 + sometime 3 birds would chase around the exposed tundra - mixed group (a sleeve close note & Oulhill - alternately. A number of these birds were collected - see catalog. 4 june "Pair" seen chasing near north level ridge, just west 1 magnetic station. Several other individuals - which seemed to be members of a love flock - of males - Some chasing was noted (sweet Oolpik, some heard - Then were all between Wolf & Oolpik Stouglas - It seems that the lady - among single OPs were not here this year - except for a very few - it seems just 2 I collected - seen during the last 2 days, flock / OPs in port coming in-to B. Fundra. 5 june Several heard in Britta & U.P.H.S area + along Voth Creek. The birds seem to be spreading out on B. tundra now - Since many areas are opening up.
