Holmes, R. 1962 Erolia alpina Molt Banaw Alaska Primary molt - #1,2,+3 seem to molder almost simultaneously with #4 not far behind. 5 is late in starting #1622 - Secondary covert molting - #1 = 1/2 c #2,3,4 = 3/4 c #5 = A 6,7 = m 8 -> O #1640. The upper wing coverts are fawn colored along the small - cobalt. The undercovert coverts are now mostly in pins. Specimen preserved in alcohol. Primary - upper covert - follows the primary molt - i.e. #1-8 are molted - but #9+10 are not
