Holmes, R. 1957 Erolia alpina 14 July Barrow, Alaska Several birds (incl. 4 pairs) were noted south of Footprint Lake. Displays were heard, and chasing was observed. 15 July Barrow, Alaska The aerial display was heard about three times at the South end of Foot- print Lake. Two birds were seen which appeared to be paired, but no activity was noted. 16 July Barrow, Alaska Two aerial displays were heard near the South end and the Back Ridge near the Consumpt. Otherwise, no others were seen. 17 July Barrow, Alaska No activity near A.F.C.S. - 11 pm was seen or heard. 18 July Barrow, Alaska. Several aerial displays were heard near Footprint Lake this afternoon and evening. Most of them, however, were not the complete song. Not consisted of the last part (the drum-out trill).
