12 Aug Barrow,Flords.
But there were too edgy to get close.
Later-mm cooed to located in the No.
VIII Area - during 1 hour cruising. On
the way in a flock of 16 was encountered
near the east end of insel ridge. 3 were
collected. Feeding seems to be in low
drained polygon or slope localities. The birds
are in flakes or probably moving while
around the local area - or more likely
through the local area.
13 Aug - A flock of 12 adults encountered before The two
Meadow lakes a little south of again
On return - 3 collected. Feeding in wet polygon
sites - small content yields mostly
[illegible] Tipule. About 400 yards
south gasoline ridge - a flock of 30 adults -
again feeding in "slope" habitat - 1 collected -
group was shy & would not allow close
approach - would stay together when
flushed - alarm note so still Rebrup.
a family group 1 an adult 87 + 2
just flying - still downy-headed young
was found 20 yards so./ gasoline. Your
gun usual clamor mate & the adult
acted excited but did not give
any distraction display. No Pm
except 2 gm encountered as hundreds & collected.
