10 July Barrow, Alaska
Nest located on south slope. I meet poly -
60' NNE of panel - a flat grassy slope -
4 eggs - 3 incubating - gave no duetback-
display - instead flew off at 60' [draw vi] -
gave 2 trills & several squeaking calls -
The male off feeding.
11 July
Nest #12 - still intact yesterday - no bird was seen.
Nest #16 - being incubated by 3 - left nest when
I was 30' away - flew off 30'
- gave brief trill & call.
No family groups encountered - only
birds seen were in Vah Bro - down slope -
When 3 were found feeding in the dried-
cut loc - polygyn area - feeding sites
were taken.
12 July 1 display heard during the 2 hours. In plot +
