Holmes,F. 1962 Erolia alpina 45. 9 July Barrow, Alaska Leave nest until I was 3' away + The Husband off is a low-bounce, injury flight stiffing at 20' - going into a rocket run pasture - running off - giving a loud irregular squeaking call. She did not return to the nest while I was present, but after [illegible] she was 60' away - sl & Negt & displacement feed.- At nest #14 - The P left the nest when I was 20' away. Flew off - landed 40' fs E - got several rat-rats - then flew off & gave 3 cries - Maui while a decarted wing [illegible] Two adults + 4 young were found near 12.3 - when a nest giving a stormy distractor display was observed 4 days ago. The young were banded. The P Aex- gave a very stormy distractive display - with wings out, tail depressed & spread + then flopping off over the tundra. When they did not deteres - he would run both in - & rocket run when 10 feet + 90
