strong distraction display - mostly the pursuit
run variant - with head bowed & pulled
up - Arch Haltu , including Staggelee,
Ruffled, tail lowered & spread & the bird
shuttling off over the funder - after seeming
30' - at it stopped, turned toward the nest -
Mother - The ran off again - sort of a
Ruffled aggressive - but still mouse-like
posture. Upon leaving the nest site, she
kept the shuffling device with very
Shuffled out to the side & went shuffling off
over the funder - (through & through).
The alarm or disturbance not given
by the female in a failed, mate - school,

given several pitches. - vary somewhat
with the excitement of the bird.
24 june Two nest found in same De Strooud plot - both
with 4 eggs. 38 were incubating & gave storm
disturbance displays when I approached on
nest #1 at 50' east of plot - left nest with 200'
away - but gave a slight mouse run -
later when flushed from the nest - gave the weir
shuffling to both sides - tail expressed - turned
Now forward & low - Hopper flyby - trumps
over the funder - generates a squeaking noise.
It would stop - in hundred moves - no posture
