At times - she may jump into the air - several inches + or 8' may follow suit - remain standing - Sometimes when he is charging - she may do one of these jumps - he will ground strike - she will land - by then she has turned & is charging again - she will jump & the leap frog manoeuvre may go for up to a minute. Usually both birds end up in air - with floated wing - then flying off in aerial chase The running bouts may cover 50' - so in 5 minutes - while the aerial combat usually stayed in an area 200 x 180'. The & may turn & chase the 8' - when she does so - she assumes her posture - but she was never seen to make any noise. The 8' will give the hill - during the ground chase. At times there is the loud aerial-type call + at other instances - a softer tune, true, there is given After this had been going on for about 20 min - a third bird was encountered during one of the ground chases - both members of the pair
