continually chasing New flocker or they
came into territories. These "more or less
settled" males would fly into the flock-
as described above - display - chase individuals -
but none seem to pay much attention.
Eventually, the displays would calm
down & begin to feed. If any new
Lord must displays nearby - the
displays now amongst the flock were
fly, if I chase the flock. (i.e. evidently they
are settled birds & not just members?)
The flock - who were starting to sing.
Also, there did appear to be single birds -
although with most of these displays -
it is usually possible to find a
4 in the vicinity.
It seems that these flocks are
moving in - 85 or settling down -
some part settle; others don't
(probably same [Dr. Charing & N.
Hawk, by a settled display-
in part courtship?). The territorial
rights are not as definite & absolute -
They will do soon.
Male seen running forward & (?) with
one wing held vertically (right wing - and previous
females too see - the year also forwardward).
