Holmes, R. 1960 Erolia alpina 21 Aug Barrow, Alaska of molting - both on the ventral surface (darker body) & the back feathers. This is a post juvenile molt where the birds are going into fall plumage. The feathers coming in & the back & scapulars are greyish in color. No adults were seen today. 23 Aug Barrow, Alaska Several juveniles seen along freshwater lagoon, all appeared to be in molt. One individual was heard in central Marsh. 26 Aug Barrow, Alaska Several jiv's again seen along the lagoon. One which was collected was quite far along in its dorsal wing molt. No adults have been seen for days now, and only a few juveniles. 29 Aug Barrow, Alaska No Redbcks have been seen during the past three days in Central Marsh & vicinity. For we see this morning new fresh lagoon. 30 Aug - Barrow, Alaska Two juveniles seen along first lake, one other was collected. It's
