30 July Barrow, Alaska
redbuckes There (or for that matter any other
sheribirds, too). The areas where They
have been found previously, have
been the wet areas where there
is sufficient exposed mud, or the
ridge or Sloping areas where there
is good drainage. There are no
carebipins.
2 August Now were seen this afternoon in
Voth's Area + Footprint Lake. The
scarcity here almost certainly
reflects the amount I collected I
have done in This area, however.
3 August Barrow = St. Barrow 3, Alaska
During This trip today only 8 RBS
were seen (1 Ad with 2 young,
2 groups 1 2 young + 1 Adult).
The adults seen I have completed
their wing molt, but as I yet, Their
body molt has not started. All
of the young seen were old enough
to fly. All birds were seen
in rather wet marshy areas
and were widely scattered.
Now have been seen among the
shorled birds in The dry lake.
