0923- adult up from ground near base of tree to see. lit on tree with food in bill. looks like two walking sticks both hanging from same side of mouth. 0928- returned to observe after several minutes of h[illegible] for Dick. adult sitting on tree to see with food in bill. silent except for occasional soft chips.
0939- young begging. one adult (prob. #) still in tree to SW, chipping occasionally
0939 - adult (5w tree) to ground.
0941- hear several series of chatter notes + young fed.
0942- an adult from east up into tree between me & nest.
young still begging, adult not carrying food. few more begging notes + 2nd adult flies up from just W of nest to tree to SW. sings + hear series of chatter notes. Adult #) (6cm horn)
flies down to ground NE of nest (0945). so still in tree to see & sings //
0953 - adult into small pine (2' up) just SE of me. looks to have 3+ inch walking stick in bill. chipping occasionally.
1000- adult gone from tree to SW. several pairs of chatter notes - one prove that bird came from bird heard following former. then birds are all down into grass.
1002.5- quick series of chatter notes then young begging >30 sec.
1003.5- adult flies out to W. carrying fecal sac. appear to stop ~ 100 feet W of nest.
1005. sharp chips from west answered by chatter notes from ground near nest. adult into 10' dead stub. not carrying food.
