August 18 4mi E. Tehuantepec, 100+ft., Oaxaca, Mexico
0741- & up into dead Acacia pile. When sat for 3 minutes +
then & flew down next to her. Both then dropped to ground.
0749- & up onto dead branch 6-8 inches above ground & sings
loud, chutter song twice. Then flies to fence post when sings several
times + drops to ground.

0752- & sings from on a wire ground (i.e. chutter) as vehicle passes.
Then up into Acacia pile + to fence post where sits quietly.
0753- & sings loud chutter after Centurus calls. Starts another
after Centurus calls again.

0754- portion of soft song. Then loud song. Loud song at 0755.
followed by another 20+sec. later vehicle passes. 1st while follows by
160tyds. + bird does not sing -
0757- long chutter song followed by 2 shorter ones.
0758- & leaves perched to ground.
0759- both on lower strand of fence wire & one momentarily up
into shrub 3½ feet + there drops to ground.
0801- both flush in dead Acacia pile as oxcart passes.

0804- & up to fence post - to another + back to first where sings both
loud + whisper chutter songs. Drops down as another oxcart passes.
0809- & to fence post to ground + both up to fence post.
0812- & flew past time to 500.
0814- & up from ground into Acacia pile where sat quietly preening.
Gave several short series of soft, cuttlic tee, tee, tee calls + then quick again.
Flew up to one of the fence posts used by & + sat quietly. Then several short
tee series + an infrequent tee- softer.
