LLW64 1963 Amorphila sumichrasti August 15 Swi E Tschantypex, Saxoca relocated to 20+ yards south of tree. 0700 - ? began singing solo chatter-like song. 0702 - back to -- ? song 0703.5 ? flies in from SE with long piece (6") of dead grass. lit first in small shrub (se map) + then flies over forest & about 20 yards to SE singing (solo chatter). ? leaves at 0704, 0705 - & back from same direction leaves in 20 sec. ? essentially quiet except for ship notes as she left nest area. 0706 - Sounds like adjacent pair chattering from 5-10 yards to S of tree. 0707 - ? in to small shrub. ? into taller shrub just N. adjacent pair gives chatter + ? gives extra loud + long solo chatter. ? silent. ? follows ? as she leaves. Have only heard ? arches soft chips once when leaving nest otherwise is silent. 0708.5 - ? to nest from small shrub. ? to small shrub south of nest 5 yards + silent except for soft chips just as ? leaving. then ? flies to 20+ yards to SE + sings solo chatter. 0710 - ? in + out 0711 - ? in carrying 6-10" piece of limp, dark brown dead plant material. 0712 - ? out.
