LLOYD 1963 Aimophila sumichrasti Aug 14. 3 mi E. Telmantengo, Oaxaca by J. P. Hubbard Two adult-sized birds fed briefly in a rut of an ox-cart road through the thorn forest. One bird (?) was seen to pick up a small object from the ground and feed it to the other, which uttered "peeping" notes at this action. Another bird (? of the pair?) sang from a tree within sight of the 2 on the ground. A pair with 3 1/3 grown young, out of the nest, was observed further along this road. The adults circled about in the trees, giving the duet chatter, both alone & together, as long as I was in the area. Later one adult & 2 young were collected.
