August 8 San E. Guernaca, 5700 ft., Morelos, Mexico
0709.5 - more Whiske songs. then one off to E giving churr.
0714 - one of pair T woshed - churring - to top of 6 foot dead weed stalk where continued to churn then drop to ground.
0718 - one of pair T to top of another and stalk churring then flew off to E. where heard several introductory churring like cotes & then a squeal.
0720 - pair T* squaled as flies into interior (north) of 20 foot tree when moving to E. then flew to next tree (20+ yds to E.) while F to ground 30+yds to E. one sang several time. then flew off to E where song more - quiet at 0725. Meanwhile one of pair T into tree (lower branches 7-8 feet up) when sat quietly. Other member of pair began soft churring - like sound (same as previous introduction to squeal) Bird from tree then flew back to that area (to or over ground 15+ yds too) giving churn in flight then squeal.
0730-0737 - one sitting near top of 3 foot weed stalk singing moves 10 yds to S (away, from road) + sits on horizontal branch 18.5 inches above ground singing. sang only type B song. then flew off to SW in floppy tail pump flight where here bird giving tweet notes. then began to rain.
0804-0806 - one singing from low in 7 foot shrub as rain stops. singing Type B song, then moves to S (30+ yds.) where begins singing again.
0833 - found four singing in top of 25 foot + tree 50+ yds N of road near edge of forr. 2. type B song + type C - while is ----. two were usually alternated as last four songs transcribed on next page show.
