LLWS15 1969 Amphipila ruticeps July 1 mi. S. Animas, Hidalgo Co., New Mexico. Clanton Canyon Fawns-crowns fairly abundant on hillsides in this area. Even occur in pine-oak woodland (see Marshall's Birds of Pine-oal.) & are not singing long bouts - generally one or two songs + quick. I heard only a few songs (2-3) between 0700+1500. Both orso collected had enlarged testes+ cloacal protuberances. Both were worn. Bird I shot (190?) came in to
