June 20 (m) S Boykin Springs, Jasper Co., Texas.
0823.5 - ? disappeared, & still singing. Chitter notes reported on earlier page were probably made by family group of Pine Warblers in trees behind shrub clump where ? gathers nest material.
0837 - & sang several times to NE of nest.
The continuous song given by two & & as they flew out was identical (to me) to song given at pair reunion.
0842 - & 1 song followed by continuous song (m).
0843.5 - & 3 songs to SE of nest.
0845 - & singing near nest site of yesterday.
0855 - chased singing & men wood while in 150+ yards SE of nest site. He moved off further to SE. Then (0856) heard & #1 singing to N of nest 100-150 yards + & #2 singing from across road to SE, E west.
0900 - & #1 singing back over nest site.
0903 - Saw ? drop into shrub clump. & in tree just above clump. ? to nest, back out to 4/2 way pine where sat ~ 4" from trunk + gave loud chips. flew + met & between 1/2 + 3/4 way to shrub, ? continued onto shrub + & to song perch at 3/4 point, but on tuff of dead needles just below the usual one.
0908 - heard continuous song followed by regular song toward road. & #1 still on 3/4 way perch so that is #2 &.
0910 ? to nest. & #2 singing, & #1 drops down 4-5" + has tail cocked + is jumping around on perch, sings two
