Guanajuato, 7800ft., Morelos, Mexico other 20± inches down both facing NE top not wing flicking lower bird flicked right wing slightly for 2½ sec then quiet. 0648:5 - chatter by pair #2 uphill from tree #3 followed by several pitz-a notes & then chatter by pair #? from N of gully & about on same level. 0720 - cooate chattering by pair #3 and another pair N of gully. 0721- 5/8 pair #1 onto dead horizontal top limb of tree 20±yds downhill from tree #1 giving introductory note to say. displaced from patch by Amazilia violacea. ∞ drop into canopy but on bare portion of limb. 0723 - pair # 2 chattered uphill from tree #3. pair #3 - pitz-a notes & then trill part of chatter. 0725- short attempted chatter by pair #2 uphill from tree #3. 0726 - chatter of pair #3 70±yds uphill from tree #2. then froze in tree. one out on E side foraging & chatter from 16½ yds uphill. 0728- low bird leaves tree & flew forward ground 15½ yds to SE. Bird appears in tree #1 near top giving pitz-a calls. a 2nd bird from tree uphill of tree #2 flies to SE 15±yds & gives (mild) pitz-a calls then chatter. Bird in tree #1 disappears. 0738- pair #5 chatters twice in succession from well uphill on N side of gully. no response from pair #3. 0746 - pair #2 chatters followed in 30±sec by chatter of pair #3. 0748 - pair #3 chatters from 50± yds uphill from tree #2 then flies to N side of gully when chatters twice more as move further N. of gully. 0754- #2 sang twice from well uphill of tree #3.
